Lorraine Ingle is an
"all-purpose" Canadian pianist/vocalist and songwriter based in Toronto.
In November 2007, Lorraine released her first solo CD of her
original compositions entitled "Peace Of Mind". It is an
eclectic mixture of the folk, blues, jazz, latin and classical styles.

For the past 2 years (2005
-2007) Lorraine has performed as piano bar soloist on Carnival
(Paradise-2008, Valor-2007, Celebration- 2007, Miracle-2007, Inspiration-2006,
Glory-2006, Destiny-2005/07) and Holland America (Ryndam-2006) Cruise
ships. When she is in Canada she performs at restaurants, clubs, and
private functions in Toronto and surrounding areas (please see
performance page).
Lorraine is available to enhance the atmosphere of your
special event as a soloist or in larger groups
(duo, trio, quartet with varying instruments) with music from the pop, jazz, show
tunes, boogie blues, classical and ragtime genres. Lorraine will also organize and accompany
sing-a-longs (Piano Bar Fun, Christmas Carols) upon request. She has performed at corporate events
such as cocktails/dinners/open houses/employee awards
presentations, etc. and private functions including weddings, private parties, milestone birthdays, funerals, celebrations
of life, and Christmas parties. For

page. Special requests will be taken within 2-3 weeks notice from the
event. She will also accompany guest vocalists at private events
within 3 weeks notice of the work to be performed. If there is no piano on the premises,
a full-size electronic piano with accompanying sound equipment will be provided for a minimal fee.
Since
the early 1990's, Lorraine has performed at public and private events
as a solo artist, ensemble artist, songwriter, and accompanist in
various genres. Public events highlights of her career include
performances at the Harbourfront Soul'N Blues Festival (1992, 1995),
Mariposa Folk Festival (1994), Oakville Jazz Festival (1994, 1997),
Orillia Blues Festival (1997, 2002, 2003), Festival of Friends (2001),
and the Celebrate Women Conference (2002).
Lorraine received her classical
training at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, Canada and
graduated with the ARCT degree in Piano Performance. She first became
interested in improvisation in the late 1980's which later developed
into a songwriting partnership with Dawn DuVall to form the
award-winning Blue Willow, an original boogie woogie blues band. |
